Technical Textile Designer, New York, NY  Liaise with clients and technical staff to interpret clients’ needs and develop design ideas and requirements; analyze usage of textiles and consider materials to be used; develop sketches, prints, designs, and samples for sample textile designs using computer-aided design programs; determine appropriate specifications, costs, production materials, and manufacturing methods for textile design projects; manufacture textiles for clothing and accessory fabrics; develop innovative ideas and commercially-appealing textile designs and prints to keep up to date on fashion trends in fabric designs, production techniques, and textile technology; communicate and support textiles partners in Asia, Europe, and South America.
